The very first paragraph discusses what can be achieved in nineteen minutes. Nineteen minutes can seem like an eternity, or a blink of an eye. Picoult relates nineteen minutes to something as simple as baking scones to a serious statement of, "In nineteen minutes, you can get revenge"(1). These few words are obviously a key component of the novel as it is the title Picoult has chosen. Since this quote is the last statement of the paragraph it leaves the audience curious of what is about to happen. Because these words are so dramatic, the audience will be intrigued and want to read more.
