Hours Before
This chapter is the climax of the novel. Peter finally does something due to the build up of bullying over the years. All the flashbacks that occur offer evidence that the ten people shot at Sterling High were not the only victims in this case. Picoult's chapters occur in chronological order, with the exception of flashbacks.
